Fifa 10
unlike the football game im used to (PES), fifa 10 is a refreshing change. The first thing that impressed me was the amount of teams you could select. unlike its main rival PES, Fifa 10 lets you choose team from pretty much any league ranging from Accrington stanley(who are they?) all they way up to the mighty nottingham forest lol and of cause the other great teams such as barca and man utd. The main reaseon for the vast amount of teams is the fact it is offical Fifa merchandise which gives EA the rgihts to use all the football clubs and names. For PES its not so easy; they have to gain the rights which in most cases have not been a success. Teams such as liverpool are called teeside because they are not aloud to use the name. To Be Continued........

Tips On How To Get Into The Gaming Industry
Tips on how to get into the gaming industry
1) Learn as much as you can. Go to college and study a degree in gaming. Not only does it give you valuable information about the gaming industry; it also can be a start to building bridges with local developers and publishers. You will find it easier to get your name known and you may find getting your first job is made easier.
2) Get your foot in the door. Start as a games tester for a QA team. This gives you a great opportunity to learn more about the company and get to know the staff. You will be able to identify opportunities to move into other departments as positions become available.
3) It’s not what you know it’s who you know. If there is a certain company that you want to work for, make sure they know about it. Volunteer to work as a moderator on their forums. This will show them that you have commitment and passion to many companies desire. It will also give you a chance to show them your skills and abilities.
4) Get the experience you need. Many companies ask you have experience within the gaming industry; so make sure you have just that. Working in an area that relates to the gaming industry such as working for an online payment provider, may you get a job working on the billing system for an MMO.
5) Never give up. Make sure the company knows you want the job and keep chasing them regularly for any potential vacancies that they might have. In the end they will realize that you are committed and passionate so offer you anything that comes available. 99% of gaming industry employees are gamers and love what they do. So chat to how every you are speaking to because they will be more than happy to talk about gaming and their job.
6) After going direct to local gaming developers and publishers. I suggest using an agency to help get interviews and jobs. There is a growing number of agencies popping up on the internet so my advice would be to get you name down on all the suitable gaming agency lists.

Banned Video Games In South Korea
SOUTH KOREA: South Korea has typically banned any game that mentions a fictional war between North and South Korea in order to avoid tensions between the two countries. However, in December 2006, South Korea announced that these games will no longer be banned in order to comply with the principle of free expression. However, Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Manhunt, and Manhunt 2 are still banned because of violence and cruelty." In addition, Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction was also banned, although this was later lifted.
Name Reason
Grand Theft Auto III Banned because of violence and cruelty.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Banned because of violence and cruelty.
Manhunt Banned because of violence and cruelty.
Manhunt 2 Banned because of violence and cruelty.
Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction Banned to avoid increasing diplomatic tensions.

Awesome lead developer wanted for exciting hi-tech startup
Want to get in on the ground floor of something huge? Are you a propellor-hat-wearing programmer with a strong sense of architecture? Wanna use cutting edge stuff like Scrum, GitHub, REST-ful interfaces to common API's (Google Maps, Facebook, Twitter), and test driven development? Do you know your way around Ruby on Rails or PHP Cake (or Zend...), and JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, Prototype...) like the back of your hand? If so, we should talk!
We're looking for a lead developer who wants to change the world with technology. You should have at least 5 years of experience, be comfortable creating a stable and scalable architecture from the ground up, be happy working both alone and in a team, and be current on the state of the art in programming. Ideal candidate contributes to open source projects, has built large open-architecture web applications, has developed at least one social network, understands SMS, and has some exposure to iPhone development.
